Learning Bridges: Academic Exchange with Educational Centers in Europe
Introduction
We are pleased to present the Academic Exchange Project with the Dalj School of Croatia, an initiative that seeks to create a bridge of cultural and academic learning between rural youth from the IEDR Antonio Nariño de Cajicá and his peers in Dalj-Croatia.
Through this program, students will have the opportunity to:
Strengthen your presentation skills in English: You will develop greater confidence and fluency in oral and written communication in English, presenting projects, participating in debates and sharing your experiences with Croatian students.
Cultivate critical thinking: They will critically analyze different cultural perspectives, question their own assumptions, and develop skills to objectively evaluate information.
Enrich your cultural exchange: You will experience first-hand the customs, traditions and values of Croatia, creating lasting bonds of friendship and expanding your understanding of the world.
Project Objectives
The main objectives of the project are:
Promote intercultural exchange: Foster respect and mutual understanding between young people from different cultures.
Develop linguistic skills: Strengthen the communicative skills in English of Colombian students.
Enrich the educational experience: Provide students with a unique opportunity for learning and personal growth.
Methodology
The exchange program will take place over a period of two weeks, and will include the following activities:
Joint classes: Colombian and European students will participate in joint classes in various subject areas, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and perspectives.
Cultural workshops: Workshops will be organized for students to explore traditions, music, gastronomy and other aspects of European culture. Visits and excursions: Students will have the opportunity to visit historical, cultural and natural places of interest in Croatia.
Collaborative projects: Students will work as a team on projects that integrate their knowledge and experiences from both cultures.
Participant Selection
Students will be selected based on their academic performance, their interest in Eastern European culture, and their motivation to participate in the program.
Expected Impact
It is expected that the Academic Exchange Project with educational centers will have a positive and lasting impact on the participants, allowing them to:
